Former Miss California Lands Book Deal
Disgraced Miss California USA Carrie Prejean has landed a book deal with Regnery Publishing, the publisher announced Monday.
That sentence says it all. D-I-S-G-R-A-C-E-D. This woman doesn’t have a story to tell—and if she does, it’s a pure fabrication. Plus we already know what happened; Not only did she take some racy (and topless) photos that the pageant frowns upon (by frown I mean it’s forbidden), but she also made a tasteless comment about same-sex marriage that we all heard about. Of course she lost her crown—why on earth did she expect to keep it?
This book deal is the smelliest piece of shit I’ve seen all month. And you can bet your ass she won’t be the one writing it. “Why I’m A Dumbass” By Carrie Prejean & [Capable Author]. Getting paid to fail—only in America.

The Jammie Thomas-Rasset retrial swung into high gear this afternoon as one of Sony Music Entertainment’s top lawyers said that $150,000 per song certainly seemed appropriate to him. Thomas again insisted, though, that she didn’t infringe any copyrights, and her lawyer called her one of the music industry’s “best customers.”
The Sony lawyer was quoted as saying “A message should be sent.” Was he referring to the $150k/song message? Because I have a feeling most people won’t get that message. Or maybe they will—unfortunately for the Sony rep, the message they receive will be more like abandon the record labels for fraud, theft, and total loss of logical business practice.

The panel was about the future of filmmaking, but that didn’t mean anyone had to like what they saw. “I’m a guy who doesn’t see anything good having come from the Internet,” said Sony Pictures Entertainment chief executive officer Michael Lynton. “Period.”
No one wants to suffer a beat-down. No one wants to be humiliated or embarrassed. I was shocked at [host Jon Stewart’s] behavior. I wish he knew about my background, and I wish he knew about a lot of things that I had done, because I think he would’ve thanked me instead of attacked me…I think the attack on CNBC and the attacks on me were gravely misplaced. It was rather remarkable in that it was so clear that his goal was to just destroy me. One day he’ll answer for it.
