Seal Hunt: 90,000 Casualties Expected
Namibia’s annual commercial seal hunt will go on despite objections by animal welfare groups, a government official said Monday. Hunters are expected to club over 90,000 seals, including 85,000 pups.
Luckily, it looks as though this event will come to an end in the coming years. With a recent EU ban on imported seal products, a global economic downturn, and rising pressure from international animal welfare groups.
